my friend is a doctor and was in dilemma regarding the issue.
he's the 10years mult entry visa already and now will be getting the h1 b visa after the match in 2006 i.e in march. now should he request for h1b sent to the home country : india and get the stamping there ???or should he come to us prior to h1 b and call documents at some local us address and change the status here . how long before the tentative date shud he come to usa??? dose it pose any problem later on.. i know that once if he visits indioa he's to get stamping on the h1b ?what are the chances of getting it thru without problem??
does usa employer (here the hospital) ask for the status (if quoted in usa) at the time of sending the documents ?? otherwise wud they be sending the documents only to the home nation??
now the residency won't be starting before july hence when shud he plan to come to usa for AOS option
