Which one should be used OPT EAD or 485 EAD

My wife who is on F-1(initially came on H-4 converted to F-1) got her OPT and it is valid from Apr'2004 to Feg'2005.

In july we applied for 485, EAD & AP for both of us on my pending 140 application.

A month back She got EAD thru pending 485 appln and its validity is from Sept'2004 to Aug'2005

Now She got a job offer, Can some one suggest on what EAD it is advisable to use

1)Can she use OPT-EAD till it expires and later on Can she use 485 EAD?

2)Is it true that once you recv 485 EAD, other EAD is not valid any more.

If the rules are still the same as when I got OPT-EAD, OPT-EAD is limited to the field of study. So, a math major cannot work as a receptionist. With 485 related EAD, she can work as anything.

She can use either but if she uses OPT she can save some bucks on taxes.
