I am on H1 status and filed my I485 on Feb 2000. I recently got married and my wife is expecting her H1 from a different company. Either of us are not very keen in her working.
Which is better?
Bringing her on H4 and amend her to my I485? What are the pros and cons in this situation? (like how much delay this would cause to my I485 approval?).

Also she is planning to apply three months vacation (without pay) immediately after coming to the US and joining the company. (This would give her some time to adjust to the new country). Will that be a problem while amending her as she won\'t have any pay stub at that time?
