Hi All,

My checks were cashed and there were quite a few numbers which were written/stamped on front and back of the checks.

By which number can I track my status on the DHS website? or should I wait till the NOA comes?

Thanks in advance

Its the handwritten number on the front of cashed check. Usually starts with 3 Letters (ESC - vermont center, LIN - Nebraska, dunno about other two) and up to 10 numbers. (example, ESC1234567)

To make it 13 digit for online checking, you should make it like ESC *00 1234567.

ALSO, it took about 10 days after the check were cashed for it to appear online. You probably receive NOA around same time.

My check was cleared and the number on the check is three letters "ESC"+ 13 digits!!!!... How can this be?

thank you but it didn't work!

Looking at my parent's cashed check, here is what i see:

ESC1234567 901233 930209

In my parent's, ESC1234567 was correct number (ESC*001234567).

It wasn't immediately trackable online though. It took about 10 days after check were cashed. By that time, you might receive your receipt already. So, I would just wait for it instead.

Don't worry about it. Since they cashed your check, you know they received your application. It is just matter of time before you receive application receipt.

Don't worry too much - the application tracking site only works some of the time anyway.

Get used to sitting back, waiting and enjoying the process. Most of the process consists of checking your (USPS) mail box each day for a long time.

supercomp, Flydog,

thank you very much for your advices. I will wait and hopefully I will get the notice by the end of next week.

Thanks again!
