1) My status is as follows:
Married to my husband whom worked in US. The green card is granted to my husband 2 weeks before our marriage. We kept on the marriage as this is a promise between us. I resigned my job in my home country (Hong Kong) and we try to find methods to stay together.
2) My qualifications:
- Bachelor of Social Sciences in Communications - Public Relations and Advertising
- 7 years of Marketing Communications experience
- Skilled in strategic marketing planning, account development, editorial management, printing design, copywriting.
- Language skills: English, Cantonese, Mandarin, which is beneficial in exploring new accounts.
- Previous experience of working in U.S. (just business trips, each time for 2 weeks) and Taiwan.
3) However, with the status of being a spouse to a permanent resident, questions arises as follows:
- Is my chance of applying for student visa F1 minimal? And I have to go back to my home country to apply (I have not stated the intention to study when I arrived U.S.)
- Is marketing job hard to be filed as H1, as they are not professional enough?
- Is extension of B2 hard to get, then what reason to state?
- If I am rejected to get B2 extension, will this affect me to get F1?
- If I get B2 extended and still cannot find a job, when I go back to HK and apply for F1, any problem?
(Actually, is there any correlation problems of applying for B2, F1, H1?)
Would appreciate if anyone could help me to tackle these hard problems as I may have to be separated with my husband just after few months of marriage.
Thanks much!
Sylvia
