Which I797 to carry while travelling?

Can someone clarify this for me please...

long story to make it short...passport has stamping until Nov'2005 but I have new I797 (same employer) that is valid only until Jan'2005. Which I797 I should carry while travelling international?
Old one with valid date until Nov'2005 or the latest with valid date until
Jan'2005.

Both. Show surrent 797 but keep old 797 ready in cae you are asked for it.
