Which forms are needed for father of a US citizen?

I am a US citizen and sponsoring my father (based in India). I realize that I need to file I-130 but do I also need to file G-325A(Biographic Information), color photos, I-864 (Affidavit of Support), and I-693, (Medical Examination)? The description on the INS site is unclear about whether I need these NOW or AFTER the initial I-130 is approved.
Thanks,
rakesh

You need to file those If your father is in the US.

If he is outside of the US, you must file the following:

Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative (if you are filing for both parents, you must file a separate petition for each parent)
A copy of your birth certificate showing your name and the names of both your parents
If your name or your father’s name is different from the name on your birth certificate, you must provide evidence of the legal name change.
If you were not born in the United States, a copy of either
your Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship or
your U.S. passport
A copy of your parents’ civil marriage certificate
A copy of any divorce decrees, death certificates, or annulment decrees that would show that any previous marriage entered into by your mother or father was ended legally

Thanks a lot Vahid. Just for added clarification: I
don\'t even need the photos or the affidavit of support
with the initial filing, right? These, along with the
other forms, are needed only after the I-130 is
approved and my father appears for an interview at the
US consulate?

regards,
Rakesh

Rakesh, this information is based on my experience with my parents case.

1. Approved I-130 by INS.
2. Case transfered to NVC.
3. Received "choice of agent" form from NVC.
4. parents signed " choice of agent " form and returned it to NVC.
5. Received affidavit of support form and 230 part I, send them to my parents.
6. Returned 230 part I signed by parents to NVC.
7. Received 230 part II, tax forms, medical exam forms and appointment letter, send them to my parents, they will take them with them to embassy.

Please note, different embassies could result in different procedure.

Good luck.

hi, guys, i notice it has been a year since you posted. hope you guys are still geting this message.

i am preparing I-130/I485/AP for my wife once I get USC. however I130 asked for one original and one copy of each doc including: naturalization certificate, marriage, name change order, etc. does this really necessary? I really do not want to surrender naturalization certificate since i need it for passport application.

thanks
