I entered this country as LPR on 21st April, 2001.
I want to file my N-400 90 days before completing 5 years.
That means I can file on 21st January.
Sould I mail the application on 21st, or I can mail it 1-2 days before so that USCIS can receive it no earlier than 21st january. This is important to me since I am traveling.
Also, can I make one check for $400, comibining filing fee of 330 and finger printing fee of $70?

Since you entered this country on April 21st, 2001, you can't file 90 days before the completion of 5 years. If you do, you would be braking the 5-year residency condition.
You can send one check for $400.00.
Good luck!

i would send the application on Feb 1st to be safe. it is just me. you could send in on Jan 22nd if you want to.

my thinking is, if i could wait for 5 yrs - 90 days, I could wait for 5 yrs - 40 days or so, if i need to.
