Which comes first name check or approval !!

I know it's a stupid question to ask but before an approval name check needs to be cleared right ? So both FP & name check gets cleared than IO approves the case or if he/she things needs more asks for RFE right?
So approval means these are all done now IO will just order the GC & mail it to applicant if BIO is already completed.
Please share your thoughts regarding this.

I think logically CIS should have Name Check cleared first then approve your case. This Name Check becomes big issue recently because it is different from FP or Bio..

Very good question specially since you have been approved.
It was a while ago which some one got approved and then they sent him for BIO. CIS does the stuff that normal peope wouldn't do, so don't expect to much.

BTW i will call CIS tommorow to see what can I do to get Plastic as soon as possible, we have to wait in line for everything. I will tell you the result.
