Which center i will be asked to do FP or Stamping.

Hi,

My 485 (ND - Oct 2002) is in Pending filed in CSC and iam working in San Jose. Now I will be moving to North Carolina Office with the same Company but with a different IT group with same designation and job description. Iam expecting the FP as almost 15 months has passed fro the last FP.
I will be informing the CSC when i move over there. If iam in NC, when it comes where should i be asked to do that and after that when i get my GC , will the files will be moved to NC or it will remain over in San Jose itself and we will be asked to come here to do the Passport Stamping... I like the experts over here to give some insight on this.

From what I've seen in these forums, you can goto the nearest ASC to get your stamping after approval. It does not matter what the letter tells you.
I think the same applies to FP also - am sure someone can confirm it - but am very sure that you can go to the closest ASC.

Are you sure one can go to the nearest ASC to get passport stamping after approval?. I have been a regular user in this site and i never read anybody told like this. Sorry for questioning your reply. Just wanted to make sure. B'cos i have replied my RFE. I am planning to go CA for stamping once i get approval.
Any senior member can confirm this?.
I am sure that we can go for FP to any ASC. I did that. I am in MA and my application is pending in CA, i got 2nd FP to go to San Jose ASC office. But i went to Boston ASC and gave my FP. It reached CA service center and my online status check also saying, we received FP results..blah, blah..
Please guys confirm that the passport stamping can be done in ASC. It will be very very helpful for lots of people including me.
