which birth certificate

Hi,

I am in the processing of collecting documents for the last stage for my green card process by concurrent filing.
One thing that is needed is a birth certificate.
My parents dont have a proper document for birth certificate.
They are asking me what exactly do I need.
I have heard that you need a long form birth certificate from the registrar of births and deaths in India.
Please advise me as to which form is needed.
I am planning to get my birth registered properly in India and then obtain the required certificate.

In absence of ur birth certificate, u need to have an affidavit endrosed by ur parents(either of them is good enough) and a letter from ur corporation for the non-availability of Birth Certificate is required. Please visit Consular Processing section of www.immihelp.com for further details.
