... last week.

I had posted a few months ago saying my I-140 was approved per USCIS status on-line, but the notice hadn't come in. I didn't want to jump the gun and rejoice - but , glad to say it's here.

Am not up on the abbreviations used in this forum, so here are my details the best I can describe them:

TSC

EB1-OR from a Research I institution - non-tenure-track, but permanent staff position.

RD: March 24, 2003
Approved: Jun 29, 2004
Approval notice received: Oct 14, 2004

-Ph. D. in Biological Science from Research I US Univ.
-3 yrs. Research experience in addition to PhD
-8 refereed publications
- >5 conference talks (1 invited)
- >60 citations
- 3 research/teaching awards (regional/national)
- 10 letters - 1 from Federal agency, 1 international, 1 from National Academy member, 1 from industry.

Hope this info helps. Thanks to all who answered my questions in the past, and good luck to all who are going through this process.

Congrats

Congrats on your I-140 approval.
My credentials are very similar to yours. I am employed as a Research Associate (non-tenure faculty) with a top school. I am just a little bit concerned about the "permanent" nature of the position as it is based on grants. Was that your case too and if so, what kind of wording do you put in the letter from your employer as to the permanent nature of the position. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Permanency wording ..

Mine is a similar situation. The letter said nothing about permanency, one way or another.

".... is employed as a full-time Res Assoc in the Dept of ...., and is compensated at a rate of USD XXXX per annum. .... We intend to continue his employment based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds."

In reality, no job is permanent, is it :)?

Good luck with your application.
