Where to give my I-94 (Canada Toronto stamping)

Hi,

I am working on H1B in USA and recently going to travel Canada (Toronto) by road for my H1B stamping, and will be directly traveling to India from Canada itself by air.

My question is , when will they take my I-94 ?
While going to Canda, at US port of exit they will see I-94.

Also If I directly visit India from Canada, what will happen to my I-94.

Will this I-94 remain with me, and would it create problem when I reenter USA?
