Where to file EAD renewal!!

Hi Gurus,

I live in NJ and my I-485 & EAD was filed by my Attorney at Nebraska Service Center. Now I wanted to renew EAD by myself. When I read the EAD filing Instructions, NJ area comes under Texas Service Center while my I-485 was at Nebraska Service Center!

I am confused so much where should I send EAD? If I send to Nebraska, do they transfer to Texas? Or if I send to Texas ( AS PER EAD INSTRUCTIONS), they may take long time to process my EAD as my i-485 exists in Nebraska.

Do some one had faced this situation? Please advise.

Appreciate your guidance.

I went through the same kind of things between 1998 and 2001.
Filed marriage-based I-485, I-130 and I-765 in OKC (NSC) on 12/24/1998.
We moved to the Dallas (TSC) area after the honeymoon in January 1999 and filed the AR-11. I then filed for EAD renewal at my current location (it was the Dallas DO).
We then moved to Eastern PA (VSC) in May 2000 and filed the AR-11.
We then moved to Central NJ (VSC) in November 2000 and filed the AR-11.
The interview finally took place in March 2001, more than two years after filing, and the GC two more years afterwards (March 2003).

The conclusions I drew from this experience:
1/ I filed at the location serving my residence
2/ The A-File gets transferred between Service Centers but it slows down the whole process.

Disclaimers:
1/ This was a long time ago, procedures may have changed. For example back then the INS had to make a decision within 90 days of receiving the EAD application, and I remember standing in line on the 91st day after filing to get my EAD. This may no longer be the case.
2/ I am not a lawyer. This is not legal advice, just a testimony of my personal experience.
