Where to file EAD renewal?

Are we supposed to file EAD with Chicago office no matter what district office our I485 is pending, effective 12/1/04? I just noticed that but I have already sent out my I765 application to NSC and got a receipt on 12/2/04 with receipt number starting LIN05********. Does anybody know what will happen to that application? Will it get transferred to Chicago?
 
I am told by my lawyer that its only for Family based applications. So I just send mine to the Vermont center assuming that the lawyer is correct.
 
I have (EAD2) applied on 12/27/04 sent to Vermont center, that is were my current process is going on. If your case is C-09 (work), you need to send it to your corresponding service center. Just today we got our Receipt Notice's.
