Where to apply for EAD?

My attorney has applied my i485 back in oct 2006, but for some reason he did not submit EAD application. As my H1B extension will expire in Oct 2007, I was wondering whether I can apply for EAD myself and where I should send the application? My attorney say he cannot apply it now as he doesn't know where i485 application is at USCIS.

I appreciate any help you can provide.
