Where to apply for EAD -- case transfered to local office

My and my wife's case was transfered to local office in Fairfax, VA. We also had our green card interview done in Feb. Both our cases were initially filed form Nebraska Service Center. Since I haven't heard back anything on the interview results and my wife's EAD expires in August, I am thinking of applying for her EAD renewal.

My question is:

1) Should I now apply at fairfax local office or should I apply at Nebraska Service Center?

2) What would be a good time frame to apply for EAD renewal?

Thank You,

The renewal should be applied minimum 90 days before expiry.
I would always do it 110 days in advance , it gives time to file for interim which is issued only after 90 days of filing in case of any problems.
Trust me after 4 eads , iam quite experianced :)
Where to file .......that is a grey area.!
I applied at Chicago Lock Box but maybe becuase I was already issued one at the local office, but another person on this forum applied at Chicago and his file was sent back asking him to apply at the service centre. His case was also transfered to local office like you.

My advice to you would be Take an infopass at your local office and go and meet a immigration officer( not Immigration customer service) and take all your documents , your passport 485 letter as well for your wife and ask him/her where you need to apply.
But please give yourself enough time to apply and to reaaply in case you need to.
Hope that helps

Read the instructions carefully, it should give you the information.

2) What would be a good time frame to apply for EAD renewal?

Atleast 4 months before the EAD expiry.

Thank You,
