I am employed by a company that contracts to the Federal Govt. The company is based in Virginia and I work for a Federal Govt agency in Maryland.
My company's lawyer says that it is not possible to file for my LC from VA, it has to be done from MD(where I actually work on a long term contract). He says my situation is differnt from travelling consultants whose office is a laptop and have no phone/mailbox. So, my LC cannot be filed from my company headquarters, but from my clinet site. Is there a way around? How can I convince him to file from VA and not MD? He says if I change clinets and move to another state, the will have to refile for labor.
