Where Is My Gc Card?

Now I am getting nervous and tensed up these days just because I have not received my GC card yet.
I did consular processing and entered the US through Newark Airport during the first week of April 2002. I have seen on this forum that EVEN people that came through consular processing AFTER me have received welcome letters and their GC card.Is there anything wrong somewhere? Have they found something on me? Also, how do I CONTACT INS? It is ridiculous that even people that came in to the US in MAY have received their cards. WHO do I contact?

Please help anyone.

Thank you

There is no point in feeling nervous. Just wait for a few more weeks it will come. if you don\'t get it even after 4 months then you can call them. But you don\'t need to call them now. It\'s a waste of your time. Just take it easy and wait few more weeks. YOu will get your cards.

YOU ARE OK

Do not worry now. You have passed the fire test and there is nothing to worry. You have your 551 stamped in the passports.. Plastic cards come normally within a month..but they can take up to 4-6 months. You are practically a US Perm Resident and should not worry about your immigration anymore. Worry days are over Dude!!

if u still want you can call up INS service station in Musquite TX and check up on your plastic cards..
There is NO risk of them finding anything new on YOU now..... they have done their complete check and know you are clean.. else you would have been stopped at the interview itself.. Just chill

Card

If it makes you feel any better, my wife and son received their cards 8 days ago and I still don\'t have mine (entered May 11). People who entered after me at the same POE have already received their cards. I have this feeling of dread that mine got lost in the mail and I\'ll have to go down to the INS office in Manhattan and get re-processed. Still waiting. Brian.

Don\'t worry

It\'s a matter of luck. You can get your card as soon as 15 days from date of entry, however it may take up to 10 months. Your temporary stamp is valid for 12 months, and while it may be very inconvenient and frustrating even if you don\'t get it then you can get your passport restamped for another 12 months until you get it.

But hopefully you won\'t need to do that.
Good luck, congratulations on your I551 stamp, and don\'t worry - be happy.
