We miss him/her..... was the only entertainer on this forum, don't we miss him.
Please put some fun on this forum, it has become monotonous and boring....

My pleasure. I have some words of motivation:

As soon as you finish this insane GC process, you will forget all this. I was afraid that I was going to live brainwashed by this process, but that is not true. I wake up in the morning happy, because I know opportunities are out there and now I can pursue them very soon ! You will get through this as well.

In case you aspire for new opportunities, the idea is that you need to work hard months ahead and just wait for the day your greencard gets processed. That will keep your sanity and morale as well. In my case I have put more than 40h/week of study and lab time (data/voice convergence certifications) just months before my I-485 approval notice.

For those who are apparently few years away from current priority dates, invest in your education. If you haven't done so that already, consider taking your GMAT/GRE and TOEFL and make sure you line your masters degree from the best evening school you can attend around. Remember that upon completing 18 credits from your masters degree, some schools let you teach 300 level courses. That may be fullfilling if you are on EAD. However, most schools require the complete masters degree.

YOU WILL WIN BECAUSE YOU, WE DESERVE IT !

Marlon,

Your advice makes a lot of sense and I agree with most of it. Investing in advanced education or certifications is probably the single most important thing most of us can do while we wait.

The one thing I do not agree with is the part about forgetting what happened and how this process literally screwed with us. Maybe a majority of us will forget this process once we get our GCs but I personally feel that it is an insult to ourselves if we forget the ways in which this process has toyed with our lives. I for one will never forget this and most of my future actions will be governed by the way I have been treated. I will hopefully become a citizen someday and will make it a point to do whatever I can to try and support logical immigration policies and oppose irresponsible actions in the guise of "National Security" etc. Maybe its an extreme view but a broken system with no transparency that is currently making life diffcult for a lot of law abiding immigrants will not magically become a fixed process once I get my GC. I would have just survived the process much like you have. This in no way will make my horrible experience disappear.

saras

Hi Saras,

In reality, by "forget" I meant, let's not get troubled by it, always acting and remembering all rubbish and supreme punishment many of us have been submitted to.

I will adopt a very strong stance on this. Always I can I will write in favor of skilled immigrants. I have been also writing against - which I believe - are iniquitous policies.

Regards,

Marlon
