Domiciled in Florida. Filing I-130 petitions and I-485's for spouse and stepdaughters, all of whom are in Florida.
I am totally confused about where to file the completed package. I was told Tampa. But...............confusing because of this.

The instructions on I-130 say.."NOTE: If the form I-130 is being filed concurrently with form I-485, Application to Adjust Status, submit both forms at the USCIS office having jurisdiction over the place where the I-485 applicant resides." (which I assume to be the Tampa office)

But then there is this: Family-Based Applications

If you are filing for lawful permanent resident status based on a family relationship with a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent
resident, file your I-485 at:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
P.O. Box 805887
Chicago, IL 60680-4120

So now I'm confused. I was told our package should be filed at the Tampa Office.

Someone please provide me with an answer as I am abnout to lose my mind.

everything goes to Chicago address-read the 1st page of the 485 filing instructions-filing a family petition will go to Chicago first and from there stuff is sent to your local office. also note there are 2 Chicago addresses-1 is for sending via USPS and another is for courier, like FedEx.

So the I-130 and the I-485 go together to Chicago? IN spite of the fact that the I-130 instructions say differently for that form?

File everything at the Chicago lockbox

The I-130, I-485 and any associated forms (I-765, I-131) need to be filed at the Chicago lockbox for family-based applications.
