Where do you keep the green card?

I got an email from USCIS that my green card was mailed out. If I get them, where is the best place to keep it? In my wallet and carry it always? Or somewhere secure at my home?

My question is, I guess, if it is required to carry it with me, and how difficult it is to get a replacement in case I lose it.

:D congratulations, your green card journey has come to na end :D

why dont you notarize a photocopy of your green card and cary the copy in your vallet. And the actual PR cards you can deposit at your bank. Its useful to have several copies on file at your attorney office.

You can retrive originals when you are required to show them, but I dont see why you would carry the originals with you at all times, because in case of a theft or loss, it is hell of a process to get new ones..

just my 2 cents...

...but you don't have to, unless you live in an area close to the border where traffic stops for security checks are routine.
