Where did the Freedom go?

These puny attempts wont do anything to awaken the INS from its self induced coma. It is time to launch the biggest lawsuit in the history or lobby the president himself..Open Uncle Sam's eye that by denying hardworking honest people the right to be free in the LAND OF THE FREE , USA is only
going to be hurt herself in the global market. I allready have friends who are hardworking talented and honest , who frustrated by the eternal wait and die attitude of the INS have gone back to India ..only to be joining the Indian offices of American companies there...at a very fat salary and promotion. Frankly with this news of retrogression I am allready half minded to pack up and leave for India and join "Big Blue" there - only if I can make my wife see that life in India is not so bad.. All I can say is that I have worked hard, stayed legally and paid my taxes and contributed what ever little I could to USA's social security fund...for the last 6 years. And at the end of this 6 years I think I can expect definitely that I have proved my worth to Uncle Sam that I am eligible for a green card. However probably small people like us are not eligible to be "FREE" in this country....or Ameria is no more the country of the "FREE" or the beacon of "FREEDOM". Is there someone out there who can carry this message to the President of this great country?

our Sad story

its true that we have proved our worth, but sadly when there is too much of a good thing, nobody wants it.
I do not blame USA that they make it hard for immigrants, first preference is always your own citizen. Neither i appreciated them for weaving these web of red tape, only if it was clear and transperent(we have a chance to get GC in 5 years or we do not stand a chance, because there are too many better people than us).

at the same time it is true that life in india for a women is too oppressive thats why they dont want to go back.

whatever the case its just our bad luck to suffer so much.

but i think things will get cleared up in the next 6 months, and most of us will accept reality and we will live happily with it.

i think i will go back to india, with enough saving, that i may not have to worry about basic things in life, dont want to go to australia or europe and start this process all over again.

You should try Canada

Canada has realized that its current birth rate cannot keep up with its death rate and has opened doors to immigrants....am sure 5- 10 years down the road once the Baby boomers are retired, US in desperation will open doors to immigrants then...presently Canada should be an option you should consider.
