Where are the approvals from NSC????

Every new month, I'm pretty sure there are hundreds/thousands of GC waiters who become eligible for GC - as their PD becomes current.

But I havent seen any flood of approvals from NSC. Heck - I havent seen any approval so far in the month of may.

Additionally NSC processing times seem to have been stuck at 7/30. Any (wild ) guesses on what is going on inside NSC??

I-485 Approved

:D Got an email from USCIS that my I-485 case has been approved. This surprised everyone including my lawyer. MI / Nebraska folks --- Looks like approvals will be flooding soon.

Note -- My case is in EB2. Look at my signature for further details. :D

Got RFE

Got RFE asking for 1. marriage certificate; 2. proof of spouse's maintaning F1 status up to I-485 filing; 2. Copy of spouse passport.

Stupid NSC people, they have got ALL those documents in our file! And they pretend they don't have it!!!!!!!!

I guess one reason there is no flood of approval is that they started to ask for RFE out of some stupid reasons!

I see. NSC is busy sending flood of RFEs

Anyway this is nothing new to NSC. If you look at archieved threads for NSC( 2003- early 2005), you will see that NSC was most notorious service center with reputation of sending RFEs in bulk. No wonder they have people stuck in 485 for 3-4 years.

Some of the old timers have rightly remarked - NSC farmers were/ are busy grazing their cattle. :)

Adjudicating immigration applications is a very labor intensive process, and one that takes time, sometimes months or years. USCIS district offices do regularly screen their pending caseloads to make sure nothing falls between the cracks. Details of background checks are never shared with applicants or their representatives. This can certainly be frustrating in cases of denial where the applicant has no idea what he or she has "done wrong."

Congratulations

Mine is very close to yours with PD of June 2000. Hopefully my approval follows.

Doubt about Substitution labor cases

It seems that NSC is holding I485 cases who used Substitution labor. As per the approvals until now, I did not see any I485 approvals for Substitution labor applicants. Any thoughts about this?

I don't think so: dates are moving for all the centers except Nebraska. Sub labor if it was the case would have stopped the dates everywhere.

I think they are under heavy load due to additional cases coming from TSC. Things like that. I hope EB2 would not retrogress in the meantime...
