Where are our green cards actually manufactured?

The software for the design is developed in India and the actual plastic card is manufactured in China. :p

Why..? is that a problem..? ;)

That means these two countries got grip of milliions of future
American citizen personal data and one day they can
blackmail if some of use become important.
 
I don't know, but apparently it is a location far far away from this planet. (extrapolating from the time it takes for them to get to the recipient)

Well that location cannot be more than 12 light-days away (got my card in 12 days) which effectively limits the manufacturing facility to our Solar System. Andromeda Galaxy is out of the question :)

yeah, but how many years did it take from signing that form 'application to register...' to the actual piece of plastic ?

(And even then they can f__ it up. There is a thread somewhere here were a guy/gal from Austria found 'French Polynesia' printed as country of origin on the physical card....)
