When you leave USA is an exit process followed

When we enter US, they take fingerprints, scan passport and take picture. Is the same done on leaving USA. If so, are there particular airports that do this.

I've been travelling in and out of the US, so far no experience about any exit process, the airline will normally staple your i-94 before boarding the plane that's going out of the US
