When will my date come?

With the extent of tracking that is being done, i guess someone will be able to give a faily good estimate as to when my date of Sept-15th, 2002 could be reached. Basically, I am looking for an answer like "less than 6 months", "9 months at least", "2 years" etc... Thanks.

In BCIS-speak, definitely with in 180 days!!

0-12 months

0-12 months would be fair estimate. You can further break it down:

• 0-4 mo. - optimistic -> some have gotten it (there is an approved case of Sept'22 incl some Jul/Aug)
• 5-8 mo. - realistic- -> several in this category have got it-Feb/Mar etc- BCIS processing- Jan'31
• 9-12 mo. - pessimistic -> many in this
• 12+ mo. - BCIS horror- unlucky souls-> some people- Nov/Dec'01 - still are in it

Another cool way to estimate this. Currently Dec 2001 is 50% approved,
i.e. half of the cases received 10 months before yours. Last year they processed 2 months worth of applications. Simple math
reveals that in 5 years 50% of Sep 2002 will be approved.
Maybe it's time to think about plan B.

seems like realistic stats are good. On one of the threads (letter from BCIS) says that they will be adding additional staff in later 2004 towards
backlog.

All approvals seen for Jul/Aug fall under EAC-02(BCIS year 2002)!
October cases fall under EAC-03, BCIS year 2003 ????
