When will FP Notice come after filing I-485

Can anyone give me a rough timeframe for when my FP notice will come after filing I-485?

My I-140/I-485 Concurrent was filed on late January 2006. The two cases were transferred from CSC to TSC since late March 2006.

Can I call the customer service number (TSC) to find out my status about FP?

I think it takes about 6 months or so after filing 485 to get your first FP.

I am not sure what your PD is but the current PD is in 2001. If your PD isn't even close to that don't worry about FP because you will be doing multiple FPs.

Just wonder why FP notice comes in random. I saw a guy filing 485 in Jan 06 and got the FP notice in Feb 06. Some said waiting for 3 months, some said longer.

Can someone give me a clue how I can CHECK to schedule my FP?

Is there a number I can call?

I don't think you can call to schedule a FP for I-485. Just call the Service Center or take an infopass and meet the officer. But someone else might have more info out here.

There is no way you can check or schedule your FP. You MUST wait until the officer that will process your case request it.

If you call the customer service center, they will tell you to wait... they wont be able to have access or be able to schedule one...
 
My FP notice finally comes!

Finally, my FP notice comes. 4/20, 3 months since filing 485.

Looks like TSC (transferred from CSC) is responding pretty good!

My questions here:
1. What does Code 3 mean?
2. What about name check? What's the relationship between FP and Name Check?

Don't get so happy, because after FP you're gonna wait for a long time.
People that belong to TSC have to get processed first. All the transfers
from other service centers are a second priority.

I am in a similar situation. Filed over 2 months ago in EB2, Rest of the World, and still no appointment for FP/Bio. I am going to wait 1 more month and after that I will contact NSC. Maybe they forgot to send it or it got lost in the mail.

FP/Bio Codes details by USCIS:

Code 1 - Fingerprint only
Code 2 - Photos + Signature (No Fingerprints)
Code 3 - Fingerprints + Photos + Signature

I am curious as to what does WorldWide mean and why do you have
to use that?.
 
What I meant is that I am not from a retro country and my PD is current.
