When typically is AVM updated?

Say if your case got approved in the AM on any day, do they update your message at the time of approval (where once the officer updates their database the AVM automatically picks that up and the message automatically changes) or are all updates done at the end of the day or after hours in some kind of a batch process, manually? Just wanted to know whether the time of the night mattered when I checked the AVM.

Of course for someone to really know the answer they would need to know how the INS system really works (Hey did I just use an oxymoron by referring to INS and System in the same sentence ;-). Thanks in advance and good luck to all...

Based on discussions on this board...
1. We know that some times it takes couple of days for AVM to get updated.
2. There are few cases where they got approval letter but still AVM was not updated.
3. In one case even after stamping AVM was still playing that "...resumed.." message!
4. In some instances people reported that after 9:00pm they heard about approvals on that day.

So it is better to check after 9:00pm and if the case is not yet approved as per AVM hope for the best and probably you may get approval letter by mail.

definitely- because you used "INS", "System", and "WORKS" in the same sentence! ;o)
