My status was changed to RFE on Jan 6th, 05. Since then, I have been waiting for it but never received it. I called customer service 3 times. No positive effect.
My status was updated again on Feb 15th to "returned as undeliverable by the post office on February 15, 2005. To update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent, please call the National Customer Service Center".
I updated my address Aug 2004 (both AR21 and called Cust. Service). I have been receiving everything else but RFE. Even a letter from INS acknowleding my call to cust. service on Jan 27th requesting RFE be sent to my current address again. Funny thing is wife received the RFE on Feb 4th after my call to cust service on Jan 27th. But I don't know what happened to mine.
I was cool all these days...but started panicing now because of the 12 week response time limit. 8 weeks have already passed since they issued RFE and only 4 weeks left ......
What are my options now??
I have been in touch with local congressman. A lady from congressman's office (she has been keeping track of my case for the past three months......i guess she is checking my status everymonth.....which is very very good in present circumstances) told me that "she will try to get it forwarded to her office through a liason officer in texas". In the mean time....she asked me not to call cust. service or local INS office to void pulling the case from two different directions.
I was planning to take a INFOPASS appointment with local INS office and try to talk to them and atleast figure out what the RFE was about. Since this lady from congressman's office asked me not to do that.......I am unable to decide wether to use INFOPASS oppointment or not.
Please advice. Any suggestions are welcome and very much appreciated.
