When to start the processing for my spouse

Hi there

I am permanent resident and I married to a non US Citizen who has a 10 year tourist visa to travel back and forth to US. My question is,

1. what kinda processing should I start for the spouse to get a LPR status?

2, Is it better to wait before I start the processing for the spouse after I get my citizenship is through that would be in two years time from now??

3. Or should I get started right away? If yes, what form do I need to file?

Any pros and cons of doing either way? and what would be the best bet in this case

Waiting time for PR's spose to become a PR is 5 years long. So under normal circumstances, it is faster for your to become citizenship and sponsor your wife for a GC.

But if you don't care for spending money, you can start sponrosing your wife
as a PR's spouse, and when you become a citizen, withdraw that petition, and re-start sponsoring yoru wife as a citizen's spouse. This is in case for some reasons your citizenship does not go thru for whatever crazy reason.
