I had the FP done for a marriage AOS, when should we expect to receive the interview letter? What's the average timeline/estimate timeline?

That depends on your district office but I'd say month or two. If everything goes smooth the entire process takes around 4/5 months. Based on my personal experience I could say so. Filed for my wife April, 2010 this yr & wife received her GC in August, 2010. Sometimes RFE could take some extra times but luckily wife's case she only received one for her medical ( Not submitted with other application) & that's all.
Atique.

Is there a way to know if the letter got lost during the mail or something though?

You need to stop being lazy, you can look at threads of people who field for the same immigration benefits as yourself, by state in some cases or by month. I wonder why we are responding to people who are just too lazy to look at thread to educate themselves. You can almost accurately predict when you will receive an interview letter by following thread from other filers in your state, and thereby knowing what to expect.

Why do think the letter will be lost? You need to create an online profile on USCIS websites, which will notify you when a note is sent to you. After 15 days, if you don't receive the letter, call the 1800 number.

I just got my IL today. I felt the need to update this so that other members that are worried just like me would see this. Otherwise, AL Southner would be so pissed to answer similar question like this lol....
