When to marry?

I'm on H1B and my fiance is Green Card Holder. Since i don't want my company to sponsor me to apply for the green card, he decided to get the citizenship and then sponsor me as spouse for green card.
We plan to get married next year after he becomes a US citizen and then we'll file I-130 for my green card application.
However, we're afraid that our marriage will be considered as fake one if we get married too soon after the citizenship.

Or should we just get married before he goes for the citizenship interview?

Thank you for the help!

Why are you waiting until he becomes a citizen? If you're on a H-1B you can get married at any time, it won't affect your status. There's not reason why you can't get married tomorrow and then wait for his citizenship to come through to file for your Green Card. Oh and USCIS will probably only think your marriage is fake if it is actually fake. Is it? If not then you really don't have to worry about it. You know, people in real marriages don't usually go about worrying that people will think there marriage is fake. ;)

Get married whenever you want.
You get a green card because you get married, you don't get married because you want to get a green card.

And plus, you can be married and not apply for a green card right away (especially you that are in legal dual-intent status). You can get married today and apply for AOS in a couple of years.
