When to File!

We got our GCs on Aug 7, 2001 and I am planning to send my citizenship application by certified post on May10,2006.

Will it be real close or should I wait few more days like May 15th just in case.
 
May 9th would be the earliest receipt date for your application to be accepted. No need to wait any longer than that, no problem if you do, of course. Alex
 
Why not May-7

The naturalisation document says, "You may file for naturalization upto 3 months before..." According to that isn't "invest2bfree" eligible to file on My-7 itself? How did AlexanderG arrive at the magic date of May 9?
 
What is receipt date: is it the date when you mailed it, the date they received it, or the date they processed it, which could be maximum 90 days prior to the five years?
