When to file for Green card for children pertioned and came to US through immigration visa

Hello members. I am a green card holder through asylum and I petitioned my two sons (13 and 17) who both came to the US on immigration visa this January2025. So my question is do I have to file for them green cards and when? Do I wait to become citizen in two years and have them apply with me? They already got SSNs and work permit. Is green card automatic?

If they came on immigrant visas the green cards should be automatically sent. Did you pay the immigrant fee for both of them? It won’t be sent without that.

If you naturalize, any child who entered on an immigrant visa living with you (assuming you have legal custody )and under 18 will automatically acquire citizenship when you get it. If the child is over 18 by then they will have to apply for N400 themselves, including meeting all the requirements (such as 5 years residence).
