When to file AP and EAD renewals?

There seem to be many posts on this issue so I'm curious about my case. My AP and EAD expire in July '04. Should I already be applying for renewal (3rd AP and EAD)? I'm sure my lawyer will try to put me off but I am curious. It seems that 6 months in advance is not too early these days.

Mine expires 6/24 and my lawyer just sent me a complete package to apply for another EAD and AP. She told me that they are taking a long time and they now recommend applying 6 months in advance.

I'd do it now.

As per present way of approvals , EAD 1 year in advance ....

I noticed that lately - people file and pay for EAD and AP renewal and then approval comes. I should be so lucky!!
