When to expect FP notice?

Hello All,

We just filed 485 two weeks back and my PD March 2005. Just wondering how long does it take to receive finger print notice? Is this after we receive 45 receipt?

I am asking this because my wife is planning to visit India in month of Sept last week and would like to return by Dec. If we receive the notice meantime, I have pepone her trip. So wanted to plan the trip accordingly.

Please let me know..

It normally takes two weeks after you receive the receipt notice. These days it takes around six weeks to receive the receipt notice from the date of filing.
 
Can I postpone her appointment by 2 -3 months?

If me and my wife both receive FP, can I alone attend the FP appointment and postpone her appointment?

Can I postpone her appointment by 2 -3 months? Has anybody done that?

If I postpone her FP apnt, in what way, will it affect my/her processing?

You can reschedule the FP appointment by calling USCIS and sending in the FP notice to the SC.
They will then send you an updated/revised FP Notice with another appointment.
Alternatively, you can try and get the FPs done earlier, if the ASC allows that. But, you can try to do that only if you have already received the FP notice. With the number of appplications, it may be difficult to prepone your FP.
Postponing your FP date means leaving your queue and going somewhat behind. This will delay your name check initiation/completion.
If possible, you should try and get to the first available FP.

Can I postpone my spouse FP alone?

Yeah, I will try to get earlier FP date for me and my wife. But can I do it even before I receive FP appointment notice?

Now take case of if she receive FP notice just after she go to India on visit. Now in that case, I can go and get my FP done and can I postpone my wife's FP alone?

Please let me know..

I don't think so. You will have to wait to get your FP notice.
