I applied my 485 in July, Can anybody tell how much long I might be waiting?

I can tell you accurately....
1] The weather report for entire year for all US cities
2] Whether Bin Laden will be caught alive or dead
3] Whether my wife will give up her demands for new diamond jewellery every year
4] The speed of the Intel Processors 10 yars from now
But , I am so sorry, can\'t tell you when INS will adjudicate your case.
The only consolation, you have is there are millions and millions of people in the same boat.
Take it easy pal. Go out for some x\'mas shoping.
You don\'t have to wait for INS to buy good sweaters and CK perfumes.

I\'ve been trying to do the same.
Looking at this forum, it *seems* that many Feb\'01 mailers got their\'s approved (but not all).
It also seems that several April\'01 mailers got approvals, though there are some that just got FP notice.
Assuming same pace for INS processing (which is a very BIG assumption that can easily be false), it would be fair to say 8-10 months is current pace and therefore yours may be approved in 3-5 months.
If you can do AC I-140 (e.g. you belong to Mumbai) consider doing CP which will take you a predictable 4 months or less.

They are now processing Late April RD\'s and seemingly some May RD cases have been assigned for adjudication. But, remember that EB3 became current for everybody for the month of July. Therefore, I expect a flood of I-485 applicationshave been mailed in July. Where each July mailer stands in that flood is open to question. Since May RD and June RD cases would be predominantly EB2\'s there should not be the same numbers as July RD cases.Therefore I expect May RD and June RD folks to get their approval in Jan/Feb with July RD\'s cases to follow on their heels in Feb/March. Also remember that there are still April RD cases who just did their FP\'s, they will be ahead of July mailers in the queue. My 2 cents.
