When to expect 2nd FP request

I and my husband we both have I 485 pending and got our 1st FP done in 02/2004 and now we are wondering when to expect the 2nd FP request if our I 485 do not get approved by Jan 2005(we are assuming that FP results are valid for 12 month only, is it correct). Below is the summary of our case

LC AD: 03/2003
I 140 RD: 04/22/2003
I 140 AD: end of 2003
I 485 RD: 04/22/2003
1st FP done: 02/17/2004
Medical sent to USCIS: 11/2004 for myself and 12/2004 for my wife

My case was filed under 245(i) LIFE ACT through my employer and my wife is beneficiary she was on H1 at the time of filing now she is on Work Authorization. I had to pay $1000.00 penalty fee to USCIS (because of 245(i)) along with my Medical.

I appreciate any help.

no fingerprints are valid for 15 months
i took my first in July 02 when 485 was filed and have just done 2nd fingerprints in Dec 04 but they were unable to clear due to cracked fingers so I re did them JAn 26th 05

How did they notify you about the crack?

they told me whilst taking the prints they were not readable so I called the FBI and they told me they hadn't cleared so 2 weeks after that tehy gave me a new appointment which was for another 2 weeks so it was 4 weeks before I got to go again I told the technician about the prob and she said there was not alot they could do but she tried to do them as good as possible and said I would not be issued a 3rd fingerprint they would just use the information they had gathered on me already. and that they will transfer the case for interview but my case is already in HArtford awaiting interview. I just want to know is this a sign of movement with the case will it get picked up and interviewed now or shoved back on the pile...
