when to do medical exam for I485?

Hi gurus. My I485 was filed 12/03 at TSC. My lawyer says he prefers not to do medical exam at outset because after exam gets over 1yr old, they will ask for a repeat exam when they finally get around to adjudicating the case. However, i see here that some lucky individuals from 2003 are getting their cases approved already. How long should I wait before doing the medical? thanks.

I am not sure about it. Normally USCIS does not ask for redoing medical even if last medical was done more than one year back. You will find plenty of examples in this forum where people got approved after more than two years and still got approved without redoing medical.
