I am LPR (GC holder). I came to US since Oct-31-2001. It's now almost 04 years already. I wonder when is the best time to submit application for US citizen. I sometime come back to Vietnam to visit my wife there, but not longer than 01 month each time.
Some people advised me that I should apply 01 year before the require of 05 year resident in US. They told me that that because there were too much people applied for US citizenship, and it would require that long time until my application was processed, so that it was about time. But other people told me that I should not do that, they told me to wait until 03 months before the requirement of 05 year resident.
I know the process will take along time to finish, and I want to be US citizen as soon as possible because this will help me in trying to bring my wife to US ( I filed I-130 for her).
I appreciate for any advice.
