when to apply for EAD and AP renewal?

My EAD started 11/05/2033 and AP on 02/09/2004. How many months before they expire should I apply for renewal?

apply 4 to 6 months before it expires as its taking a lot of time for renewals.

How about efile?

1. What if I do e-file ? is it faster
2. When I renew my EAD, does it start from the date the previous expires? or is the start date the date that they renewed it from?

NO its not at all. all you save is mail time in getting RD/ND but you still have to mail supporting docs.

Usually it starts from expiration of your previous EAD but some members reported that thier renewal started when their application was processed.

I havent heard that EFile is faster than regular filing. There were some minor drawbacks of Efiling... check some postings in this portal.

I think it does start from the day your existing EAD expires, mine does. You cant have any breaks in the EAD's i suppose.

If you dont get your renewed EAD before the existing ones expire you could go to the local INS and get an interim EAD provided you have passed 90 days after applying for extension.
