...a lot of girls trying to get with guys who won the lottery (or maybe other way around, although I have never witnessed the former). They offer money if guys marry them and give an opportunity for the Green Card.

Has anyone got any idea what are the risks for going through with this? How is the whole thing going to work, and is it going to work? And what do you do after you enter the US with your "wife"?
 
Consular officers are smart guys and see pretty soon red flags when a marriage happened in certain countries after winning the green card. They then ask for proof if it is genuine.
