Case got transferred to SFO for interview in Dec'01
Interview Date was June'02

Me and My son appeared in interview and my wife did not attended the interview due to pregnancy. I explained every thing to the officer at the time of interview and he said its OK, no problem. When ever you come for your PP stamping she can come for ADIT processing though I will approve her case too. For me and my son it was approved after a week and also we received a letter for my wife that she has to come SFO for ADIT processing.
So we went INS on 15th July'02 for our PP stamping at that time INS told us that her case was not approved since the officer took your interview has been transferred to some other department but INS took her finger print and photos which was necessary for ADIT process .Mine and my son's PP was stamped and from her PP they canceled H4 and removed I-94.

In Aug'02 we (me and my son) received the Plastic cards.. end of story

Since July'02 we are waiting to hear any thing/something on her case but no luck.

What should we do ?

Whom to call at what number ? Any input ?

Is there a problem in taking a pregnant woman for interview ?
I think you should have done that instead of taking it very light.....

Since we have absolutely no clue as to why vipsha did not take his pregnant wife, I don't think it is fair to make major assumptions and criticise him for it. Don't rip him off.

You might want to contact your lawyer and see if they can ping INS for you.

I did not took my wife for interview since we were in Boston, her due date was 22nd and my interview was on15th do you think at that stage 6-8hrs flight is advisable? Certainly not, life is more important than GC.
Why I was in Boston?
Since my job was there at that time.
Why did I file my GC at CSC?
Since at the time of filing 485 I was there in CA.
Why I did not change my address to Boston?
I thought I will come for finger printing and after that we will get GC straight forward. Since at that time (in April'01) 485 from CSC was not taking much time, I think it was 6-8 months.
But my case got transferred to SFO for interview in Dec'01 and interview was scheduled in Jun'02. Otherwise also I would delay the whole process but anyway it did (bad luck).
Yesterday we called 1-800... INS national service center and the officer took all the details and said wait for 3 weeks you should hear something from INS. (I don't know how much truth in there?)
140, My lawyer was from my old company, I have changed the job after my 485 was approved and also my company was responsible for only primary applicant’s process. So lawyer is there but I can’t force her to check the status or ping the INS. Best bet would be if I can do something from my end?
I am planning to send fax in first week of January but before that I will also ping INS through phone one more time.
Any suggestion ?

You are absolutely right, Vipsha, life is more important than GC.

You said your company paid for for you, so who paid the lawyer for your dependent's AOS filing? You would have, I expect, like I did. So whether you work for your old company or not, the lawyer has responsibility for your wife's case. Put preassure on the lawyer to get INS to do something real fast such as AILA liasion.
