Is background check supposed to be completed BEFORE the "in Q for interview scheduling" status shows up? Or before the acutal interview date is scheduled?

I just wonder if the "in Q for interview scheduling" status suggests that the background check is still going on.

I just wonder if the "in Q for interview scheduling" status suggests that the background check is still going on.

All the background checks are supposed to be completed before the case is transferred to a local DO for interview scheduling. So a case status message "in Q for interview scheduling" does indicate that the background checks have been completed (although occasionally the online case status may be incorrect and sometimes by mistake they can even schedule an interview before the background checks are done).
