I have gone through various posts related to 6 years period on H1 B visa but couldn’t find my answer, as my situation is different from them. Would be thankful to any of you guys, if you could answer to my question (When is my 6 Years period on H1B starting?) by looking at my In-out dates from USA as given below:
I have got 1st H1 in June 2001 and came to USA for 1st time in June 2001 itself. This H1 B visa expired in October 2003, as I couldn’t file Extension as that time I was in India.
But my company got another brand new H1B visa for me in March 2004 and again I came to USA on this brand new H1 B visa in March 2004 and this visa is valid till February 2007. My question is if I file for extension then till what date USCIS will give me extension??

1st Entry to USA -- June 3, 2001 to September 30, 2001 (stayed for approx 4 months)
Stayed in India for more then 1 year,
2nd Entry to USA -- January 19, 2003 to June 27, 2003 (stayed for approx 5.5 months)
1st H1 B Expired - October 24, 2003

Got Brand new 2nd H1B (Brand new H1 B issue date - March 04, 2004)

Came on this brand new H1B, 3rd Entry to USA March 16, 2004 - till date staying in USA.
2nd(Brand new) H1 B Expiry date - February 03, 2007.

Bases on data given above, Please tell me when is my 6-year counter starting.
1.From June 3, 2001 (As 1st entry to USA was on this date) ??
2.From January 19, 2003 (As I stayed out from USA for more then 1 year so earlier counter starting from June 3, 2001 should be reset and should start from this date)??
3.From March 16, 2004 (As my earlier stay in USA were less then 6 months and so even though I came back to USA within 1 year but on a brand NEW H1 B so should counter start from this date)??
