When is a good time apply for citizenship after GC

I have heard a lot of people that apply for citizenship still need to wait sometimes years sometimes months...to get approve.
I just want to know about when will be a good time to submit the usc application then.

You should apply three years and nine months after you get your green card (GC). Chao.
