when does most people submit tax retruns -with I-485 or if asked for it

I am going to apply for I-485 and I don't have any family/dependents.

My attorney told me that tax returns and W2 are only required if one has dependents because one has to show proof of income (like affidivat of support).

But in my case, since there are no dependents so tax retruns are not required.

I don't have any problem sending tax retrun. I just don't want to delay my I-485 adjustment if BCIS issue a RFE for tax returns.

Q. When does most people submit tax return along with I-485 or if asked for it or at the time of interview/stamping of passport?

Good question ....

In my case (and I have no dependents), my lawyer didn't submit any evidence of employment or tax activity along with my I-485. Sure enough, I was RFE'ed for tax returns, pay stubs, letter of employment, as well as the medical I-693.

The kinds of documents requested by RFE's for I485 vary from case to case, and so my lawyer probably thought not to read the adjudicator's mind and just wait to be asked for additional evidence. The whole RFE step, in my case, seemed to have extended the processing time by about a month and a half.

I'm curious how others have done it.

was there an interview?

Hello tempaboy?

did you get an interview call?

or Before mailing of PR card were you asked to appear for passport stamp? I am just trying to understand the procedure after I-485 filing what could happen?

No interview

As far as I know, NIW and EB1-EA cases don't require interviews. I see from your signature that you underwent labor certification. Why are you on this forum?

This is general question so I don't think it would matter much.

Any way thanks for reply. One more question,

Did you get PR card in the mail or do you have to go to the local office for passport stamp first? Was there any oath taking involve like in the citizenship process?
