When Do Medicals Expire???

So even if the I-485 adjuducation takes 2.5 to 3 years, we never need to redo our medicals???

I read somewhere that they eventually expire and we need to redo them at some point if our AOS is not granted by a certain time.

Medical expires in 12 months and FP in 15 months but

there is a difference. As long as you have done your medical and sent your I-485 before 12 months of medical, your medical does not expire.

IN other words, medical dont expire once it is in INS hand. It only expires if you have had your medical done and you are sitting on it without filing I-485 for more than 12 months.

Offcourse, INS (BCIS) can issue RFE on medical if they are not satisfied with something and they may ask you to re-do partially or completely.

The medicals issued by the INS Certified doctors are valid for 2 years. You can see it in the cover letter given by the doctor specifying that these tests are valid for a period of 2 years from the date taken. The results are valid for 2 years. Generally INS does not ask you to take medicals again even though it is more than 2 years after you applied for 485.
