When can you be sure you stuck in Name check

I talked to TSC - IO today.
She told me my name check was initiated on 06/21/07 and is still pending.
My spouse NC is cleared and was initiated on same day with me.
Does this mean that I am stuck In name check ?
I am worried after reading many NC horrible sotries here.
When we can officially confirm that we are stuck in name check , Is there time limit?
I want to start taking action today, and not wait couple of years before doing something about it.
Should I start doing something today or Its advisable to wait for some time?

my name check intiated on 6-Aug-2007 ( spoke with TSC IO Today)....means struck in name check?
 
Its weird, I got EAD in 12 days. Filed just before 30th Julky 2007 and got approved on 13th AUg 2007. How come urs is taking som much time.

I'm not sure, why.

Its a good question,
again like NC my spouse & daughter's EAD & AP are approved.
Mine is not, Not even an LUD.
I Asked IO about that,
Nothing is wrong or No issues with my case, Its just pending and will be approved within 90 days as per IO
 
did she tell you when your wife's NC clearance come back?

I went to infopass on Aug 20th and IO told me that my NC initiated on June 21st and pending too. one friend of mine got clearance on Aug 8th(also sent to FBI on June 21st).

I have the exact same RD ND as you...

they might put names in different data tape.......

Mid July some time

I dont have exact date when NC was cleared,
But when I called IO in Mid July some time, that time NC was cleared for my wife, and my is pending as of today.
It seems only Primary applicant are getting stuck on NC, as they have payrolls, bank accts and credit history etc.
I think its affecting my EAD approval too.
Any secondary applicant got stuck in NC without valid reason?
 
I am primary applicant, but I got EAD and AP approvals already.

NC is pending though...

have you tried infopass yet?

maybe you can try infopass and talk to IO directly...they might have better info than ones over the phone.

I also scheduled another infopass next month...

Infopass - 90 days

I thought about that but when scheduling Info pass
EAD infopass on USCIS site says

EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

Mine is yet not 90 days.
Is it OK to book Infopass or it will adversely affect my case ?:eek:
 
FYI:
you can book infopass appointment even it is not in 90 days. IO in infopass will send email/request to USCIS on the same day and you will get EAD soon.

my friend visited local infopass even EAD not in 90 days, then she got EAD in one week.

at infopass, you can also ask infomation about when they issue FBI name check and if it is cleared..


I booked infopass just claimed I have a case pending in USCIS...

where did you apply for EAD. TSC or NSC.Also do we need to apply for EAD at the center holding I-485 or it can be applied at any center.
